Bird Semple In "Historic" Sponsorship

Leading Private Client Solicitors, Bird Semple, in partnership with auctioneers Lyon and Turnbull, hosted an exclusive preview evening of the much admired and soon to be auctioned Drambuie Collection of Scottish Art

In excess of 400 invited guests attended the exclusive event in Pollok House in Glasgow, to view selected items from this fine Scottish collection, which includes paintings, furniture and silverware. Previously housed at Hillwood House, Drambuie’s Edinburgh headquarters, the Collection is expected to fetch in excess of £3m at auction, later this month.

In addition to the Bird Semple sponsored preview, such is the international interest in this historic Collection that selected items have already been viewed in Philadelphia, Hong Kong, and Syon House, the magnificent London home of the Dukes of Northumberland.

Bird Semple Managing Partner Frank Fletcher commented;

we are delighted that Lyon and Turnbull invited us to be associated with such a unique and significant project. Many of our clients not only attended the event, but subsequently indicated interest in specific auction items.

Commenting on the Collection, Lyon and Turnbull Glasgow Director Campbell Armour said;

This is one of the finest collections to be sold in Scotland in recent years and we are delighted that Bird Semple chose to become involved. We hope that our two companies can work together again, in the not too distant future.
