Question 8
My Will was prepared before the birth of my children. Do I now need to update it?
Yes. If your present Will does not provide for your children, they have the right to have your Will revoked, but it may be several years before they are old enough to do so. Your estate may be in limbo until then. An updated Will can add in trust provisions to look after your estate for the children if they are very young when you die. It can also deal with custody of the children and other important matters about the children’s welfare.
